Great British Bake Off bets halted by Ladbrokes
Ladbrokes has halted wagering on BBC show the Great British Bake Off after a flurry of wagers sparked worries the winner's name may have been dripped.

"A run of bets" was put for one contestant, numerous at shops in the Ipswich location, the bookmaker said.
It is not understood which baker prompted the flurry or whether any contestants have connections with the Suffolk town.
The first episode of the popular amateur baking contest aired on BBC One Wednesday night.
It is the sixth series of the yohaig code program, which challenges 12 hopefuls to impress judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood.
Every week the amateur bakers are anticipated to tackle a baking difficulty, with minimal guidelines, and provide a "signature dish".
'Soggy bottom'

The bookmaker said a flurry of bets came in for among the yohaig code 12 entrants whose chances began at 12/1 and were minimized to 6/1, 3/1 and after that evens.
"We offered prices on Monday and, practically before the ink was dry, an unusual number of punters were in a rush to back just one candidate," David Williams of Ladbrokes stated.
"On Tuesday and Wednesday it was more of the very same one-way traffic. That was enough to set our alarm bells calling and, as a preventative measure, we suspended our wagering.
"Hopefully, we'll go back up with modified odds quicker instead of later, however we didn't desire to get caught with our pants pulled down and a soggy bottom, so we have actually chosen to kick back until we are reassured that Bake Off hasn't gone off already.

"When you see a run of bets like this promotion code for one candidate at the expense of everybody else that can be an indication to suspend betting for a bit to examine the circumstance," he included.
Several of the bets positioned were the maximum the bookie would consider wagers made on the show's result, and 90% were positioned on one participant.
The suspension would not affect bets already put, the business said.
The very first candidate to be knocked out of the competition on Wednesday evening was Stuart Henshall from Surrey.

The 11 staying participants are from Berkshire, Lancashire, Cambridgeshire, London, West Yorkshire, Manchester, Essex, Swansea and 2 from Perthshire.
