The Duval Clerk and Duval County Residential or commercial property Appraiser's workplaces reveals that the Clerk's office has introduced a Residential or commercial property Fraud Alert system to help people maintain the security of their residential or commercial property. This service permits participants to keep an eye on a personal or service name and be notified whenever a document is tape-recorded in Duval County under that name. Best of all, this program is completely complimentary of charge.

According to the FBI, residential or commercial property scams is the fastest growing white-collar criminal offense committed in the United States. Scammers submit phony deeds, making it look like if they own homes that are not really theirs. These criminals then trick people into providing money to rent or purchase those homes.

The Fraud Alert seeks to help put a stop to these criminal acts. If a document is tape-recorded that matches your tracking requirements, you will get an alert within two days so that you can evaluate the document to make sure it is legitimate. "We more than happy to be able to promote the link for signing up on our website to help our taxpayers combat lawbreakers who desire to incorrectly take belongings of their residential or commercial property."
